What is soft-live?
soft-live is CalmStep.AI’s 45-minute text→audio session — professionally developed and AI-assisted, grounded in psychiatry and professional therapy knowledge, with a science-backed approach. You type freely; CalmStep.AI replies in text and Fish voice (粵語, 普通话, or English). Not a licensed clinic or diagnosis tool. An account is required.
How long is a soft-live session?
About 45 minutes. Near the end you’ll get a soft wrap-up nudge; you can still keep typing if you need a moment to close.
Which languages does the voice support?
Fish TTS with a voice picker: 粵語 (default), 普通话, and English. You can interrupt playback anytime by typing.
Do I pay to use soft-live?
soft-live individual sessions are free to start. Organisation programmes are Upcoming. Donations are welcome separately and never required.
Who is soft-live for?
Adults 18+ — especially Chinese-speaking communities and people in Hong Kong. The website and soft-live are open worldwide.
Is CalmStep.AI available in Mainland China?
Our team operates in Hong Kong for now, but the website and soft-live are open to access from anywhere in the world — especially for Chinese-speaking communities. Organisation programmes for Greater China are Upcoming.
Do I need an account?
Yes. All soft-live users create an account so we can run conversations with previous context. You can check conversation history and continue your last conversation. Sign-up requires agreeing to Terms and Privacy.
What about my data?
We collect only what is needed to run sessions, access, and soft-live operations. We may also use soft-live data for medical research purposes as agreed at sign-up. See Privacy Policy.
Can CalmStep.AI help in a crisis?
No. If you are in danger, contact emergency services (Hong Kong: 999) or crisis lines on Safety & efficacy.
Do you work with clinics, NGOs, schools, or employers?
